Dear Friends,

By now most of you know of, or worse yet experienced the serious flooding first hand. Here is a quick update and an appeal for volunteers to assist in the clean up.

Flood Update

As of 12:30 PM this afternoon, many of the homes and business in the center of town and other areas along the creek are under several feet of water. Fortunately, everyone was evacuated successfully. After the heavy rain yesterday, several dams upstream on the South Branch of the Rancocas Creek failed releasing several feet of water down on Lumberton. At this point, emergency management officials are monitoring other dams for signs of possible failure. If another dam fails and/or we get more rain, Lumberton will likely be under even more water.

Best case, it will be probably be several days before residents are allowed back to their homes.

Volunteers

Once the emergency management professionals give the go ahead for people to return to their homes, many of our neighbors will be faced the emotional and physically demanding task of sifting through their homes and cleaning up the mess that mother nature has created. They can use our help.

If you would like to volunteer to help -- Click Here and fill out the contact form and indicate that you would like to volunteer.

If your home has been flooded and would like a helping hand -- Please Click Here and fill out the contact form indicating that you would like assistance.

I will send out more information as I get it. Please keep our neighbors in your prayers.

Sincerely,

Patrick Delany
